A being who only exists on the internet. Technically the persona of a human being who does exist in "real life", outside of cyberspace. But in reality I exist no more than Eldren in D&D, even though he was played for a really long time, did great things, and was talked about for powerful things. But at the same time, he never existed (unless the classic philosophical joke that all games are worlds that exist parallel to our own is true). He was me, or he was an aspect of who I am combined with some escapist fantasy and a completely different world view. Silverwizard, the dragon, the owner of Neoaxial, or whatever he is not actually the being that exists outside cyberspace, they are fundamentally different. But in reality they are. |
